She's a Star

Today I bring you the lovely Star Mermaid from Queen Kat Designs stamps.  I coloured her with ProMarkers and added touches of Spica glitter pens and also some Glamour Dust on her mask and top. The star-embossed background (perfect for this image!) was created with an embossing folder in my Cuttlebug, I then wound some silver crochet thread around this layer to look like rays of starlight falling from the top left. The image was cut out using a nestabilities oval die and mounted on to a layer of blue metallic card cut out with a scalloped oval die. The various blue flowers were in my stash and I added fronds cut from shades of blue card with a Martha Stewart punch. Finally, I added tiny blue pearls in the centres of the flowers and three more at the bottom right of the card.

A refreshing change from all the Christmas cards and projects we have been creating over the past few weeks I think!

Thanks for visiting, hope to welcome you back again real soon.
