Wedding Cake

I'm taking a break from christmas cards with my creation today.  This lovely wedding cake stamp is from Whiff of Joy stamps.   I think this is a lovely simple yet elegant stamp which can be used in many ways.

I coloured the flowers and the bride and groom with ProMarkers then applied Glamour Dust to the layers of the cake using a Quickie glue pen.  I then mounted the stamped layer on to a scrap of pink patterned paper I had in my stash, and again on to a piece of cream card.  In daylight, the background paper is the same shade of green as the pen I used on the leaves, however in the photograph is looks a few shades darker, but at least the glittery cake shows.

I finished the image by added Glossy Accents to the flowers then looped white organza ribbon three times around the base layer.  In the centre I tied the ribbon into a double bow attaching a lucky horseshoe with the final knot.  The three white paper roses just add a final finishing touch.

Thank you for visiting my blog, hope to see you here again soon :o)

  1. Wynneth this is stunning, there is one lucky couple out there about to recieve this little gem. I love the simplicity of it and how you've kept colour to a minimum. I also love what you've done with the ribbon it's so pretty xx

  2. Ah, what a breath of fresh air to see a non-Christmassy card. This is super-stylish and I love your sophisticated and understated colour scheme too Wynneth.

    A beautiful card.
