Stamps, papercrafts, quilting, knitting..... I just love to craft.My name is Wynnethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15885037333401956230noreply@blogger.comBlogger1082125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5330417522964496692.post-70981038506386330382017-02-19T15:42:00.001+00:002017-02-19T15:55:37.414+00:00Cone Flower in Yellow and BlueToday I've decided to share with you a card I made a while ago, the pic has been sitting there waiting for me to get back into posting on my blog more regularly so I thought it was time to bring it into the spotlight.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQLVDo42s_i7arIEAoA3u084gv9EaqiJ8OvTZ6-yxkADZc3qEO9BbvGwIhdqtCE6PM5efa3tguPdhsQMa8tlRbPexP6kFAZRAaDlzdPAf1pYSwxFDFEz38cZUC8u2ufiio-0MiwEVHt8E/s1600/cone+flower+yellow+and+blue.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="367" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQLVDo42s_i7arIEAoA3u084gv9EaqiJ8OvTZ6-yxkADZc3qEO9BbvGwIhdqtCE6PM5efa3tguPdhsQMa8tlRbPexP6kFAZRAaDlzdPAf1pYSwxFDFEz38cZUC8u2ufiio-0MiwEVHt8E/s400/cone+flower+yellow+and+blue.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
I was playing with Paper Artsy Dylusions powder pigments and first stamped this gorgeous Cone Flower image from the Stampers Anonymous Flower Garden stamp set. I used Versamark ink and white embossing powder. I then used a small amount of 'Golden Sands' Infusion, mixing the crystals with a little water to create a background wash on a piece of water colour paper. Once dry I mixed a stronger solution from 'Royal Blood' Infusions and painted the flower heads and stems. I then splattered more of the paint over the background using a paint brush.<br />
<br />
I used SU! 'Night of Navy' ink to drag round edges of the painted panel and to stamp the frame and sentiment from the Rubbernecker 'Freehand Phrase #900' stamp set on a scrap of plain watercolour paper, which I attached over the background. I then mounted the panel onto a piece of cream card and then another of navy before attaching to the base card.<br />
<br />
I love how this card turned out, hope you do too. Thanks for dropping by I hope you'll call back again.<br />
<br />
Hugs<br />

It's been such a long time since I have posted anything on here and I've yet to come to grips with the changes that have been made by Blogger since I last posted.<br />
<br />
Thanks so much all of you that have popped by to check for new work or to review some of my older creations whilst I've been 'resting' from Blogging. <br />
<br />
I really haven't been in the mood for much crafting for a while and not felt able to share the few things I have done. I've done quite a lot of crochet and knitting to fill my resting times, maybe I'll share some pix of the other things I've been getting up to. <br />
<br />
I thought I'd break myself back into Blogging gently with the pretty card below, which was one I made for a Pal's birthday a while back.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZXwGqD8r5C0L2dmFrgueT3VSjO46eIecS3agvgzPUm1ZbqUpcmE4jFU59Wc8ESsdlNKOK0aEH-bT1CwFSdsCaBh53HwaKlxTFQYp9bvk9uediknXtE_JnEIP2XTXJPps30D73i0K4f54/s1600/happy+birthday+p.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="382" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZXwGqD8r5C0L2dmFrgueT3VSjO46eIecS3agvgzPUm1ZbqUpcmE4jFU59Wc8ESsdlNKOK0aEH-bT1CwFSdsCaBh53HwaKlxTFQYp9bvk9uediknXtE_JnEIP2XTXJPps30D73i0K4f54/s400/happy+birthday+p.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Of course, after so long I have to try to remember the products and techniques I used to create this, apologies if I get some of the things wrong ! Please do let me know if you spot that I've made an error and I will correct.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It's very simple really, background created using sprinkles of Brusho Powders then spritzed with water and left to develop. The main image is from Penny Black, stamped and heat embossed then coloured using Gellatos mixed with water and brushed on.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I can't remember which company's stamp I used for the sentiment, sorry.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The Brusho'd background was gently edged with purple Stickles, as was the sentiment panel.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
That's it from me for my first Blog in a while, I'll try to post up a few more in the coming days.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Happy Crafting Folks.</div>

<br />
I loved this panel when I'd finished it but wasn't exactly sure how I wanted to turn it into a card. I added it over a slightly larger layer of black card then tied around some twine and attached a flower embellishment. I decided not to add a sentiment to the front so that the card would work for many different occasions.<br />

<br />
Happy Anniversary Kathy and Steve, hope you enjoy your very special day.<br />
<br />
To mark this occasion I created a special card for my pals and it's their card which is the project I'm sharing with you all today. <br />
<br />
Please bear with me as I'm transitioning to a new laptop and trying to get my usual photo editing software installed and running. Still have some teething problems to iron out so that I can get it working and back to the quality of pix I usually post. I have a feeling the problems are due to now having Windows 10 running and it's possible the old software doesn't work with the new operating system, I may have to upgrade.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzlrpKBb9J4rG-JPy9TGYrLySnjQGT6a9AXNkUP4sleXBWQClihw_gANqiHOGuzkrqdgAELCMiDOWiZC-UqJ9i91UDYyuHJWFEjFkCtk-CzDeE0KAIAPPYNxU7898XiVyyKVsj53O0OHk/s1600/k+and+s+aniv+2016.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="373" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzlrpKBb9J4rG-JPy9TGYrLySnjQGT6a9AXNkUP4sleXBWQClihw_gANqiHOGuzkrqdgAELCMiDOWiZC-UqJ9i91UDYyuHJWFEjFkCtk-CzDeE0KAIAPPYNxU7898XiVyyKVsj53O0OHk/s400/k+and+s+aniv+2016.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
For the background of my card, I tried out the - new to me - 'Masterboard technique'. I've seen a couple of demonstrations recently, one of which was by my lovely crafting pal Lauren during her appearance on HOCHANDA. I just had to have a go for myself.<br />
<br />
I didn't have a plan when I started the master board, but as one of the recipients of the card loves purple and the other is a fan of red, I wanted to incorporate both of these colours. I have to say I was really pleased with how it turned out in the end, there was a period during it's creation when I was sure it would be consigned to the bin !<br />
<br />
Supplies and tools used :<br />
<br />
PaperArtsey Fresco paints - Squid Ink, Granny Smith, Cherry Red, Dolly Mix, Snowflake<br />
Brayer<br />
Crafty Individuals 'Crowned Bunnies' stamp<br />
Lennie Pujol 'Doodle Drops' stamp set<br />
Diana Wakely 'Clearly Collaged Hearts'<br />
Gansai Tambi Starry Colours paints<br />
Stampers Anonymous 'Ledger Script' CMS241<br />
SU! Blackberry Bliss ink<br />
<br />
I still have the rest of the master board background left, I'm sure you'll be seeing more of it in other projects soon. <br />
<br />
Thanks for dropping by today to see my latest project, hope you like it. <br />
<br />
Til your next visit.... have a crafty time <br />

As I promised in my post yesterday, today I'm sharing details of a gift I created for the Bride who's wedding I attended recently.<br>
<br>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0iL9E_HoZLRxGXbsfDH0Zj_kQ4xI5ix02FZU__uIxItsdb240oPNYprQptSj4UZjKhzhSHi4I8jM7LKISDs4eqog_E4UJqg5hoAZoU3ZEEgTvMeTYCDHd3tsRtJUz1W1AU9DT-rYtVtI/s1600/P1040377.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0iL9E_HoZLRxGXbsfDH0Zj_kQ4xI5ix02FZU__uIxItsdb240oPNYprQptSj4UZjKhzhSHi4I8jM7LKISDs4eqog_E4UJqg5hoAZoU3ZEEgTvMeTYCDHd3tsRtJUz1W1AU9DT-rYtVtI/s640/P1040377.JPG" width="380"></a><br></div>
<div align="center" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'm not a jewellery maker or beader, but I'll try my hand at most crafting, so this is my first venture into making a gift with beads.</div>
<div align="center" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br></div>
<div align="center" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I wanted to create something for the new 'Mrs Mackeen' to be given to her at breakfast the day after the wedding. This is what I came up with, using stretchy beading thread and a scrap of organza ribbon.</div>
<div align="center" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br></div>
<div align="center" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'm told she was 'delighted' with her gift and that made me happy - easily pleased that's me Ha Ha </div>
<div align="center" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br></div>
<div align="center" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thanks for dropping by to see my project today, I've been busy at my 'table of craftiness' and have a few more projects to share with you over the coming days.</div>

I've had quite a busy time recently. One of the things I've done since I posted on here last was attend a lovely wedding last week when the son of a couple of my dear friends wed the love of his life. I felt very privileged to have been invited to their special day and it was a beautiful day, even the weather behaved which provided lots of great photo opportunities.<br />
<br />
I thought the project I'd share with you today is the card I made for the 'Happy Couple'. It's a little different to the cards I've been creating recently, but I was pleased with it once finished and I hope the Bride and Groom liked it too. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTuvwuav0Noh4fWyM0Wm65ijzsRBT4q1pawK0gUOb6DN_vKwlq_VOv-JcAJGbcdujnAmuWtV3k9zPKXlxH_Nvx2ZeNtkkUyttA4igNjZLuk9FOHKH4wCYoONdMIFw9UhwTeA7ufr0n24Y/s1600/P1040375+%25282%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTuvwuav0Noh4fWyM0Wm65ijzsRBT4q1pawK0gUOb6DN_vKwlq_VOv-JcAJGbcdujnAmuWtV3k9zPKXlxH_Nvx2ZeNtkkUyttA4igNjZLuk9FOHKH4wCYoONdMIFw9UhwTeA7ufr0n24Y/s640/P1040375+%25282%2529.JPG" width="463" /></a></div>
<br />
I used a few new/un-used items from my stash to create the card :<br />
<br />
* Centura Pearl card<br />
* Sizzix A4 embossing folder<br />
* Tim Holtz 'Scribbes and Splat' die set<br />
* Joanna Sheen Die-Lacy 'Grace Lace' border die<br />
<br />
The embossed background was created using the embossing folder which was included as a free gift with the Sizzix Big Shot Plus I was lucky enough to receive as a birthday gift earlier in the year. <br />
<br />
Other materials and tools used :<br />
<br />
* SU! Sassy Salutations sentiment stamp<br />
* SU! Soft Suede ink<br />
* Tiny pearls from my stash<br />
<br />
There is another item I created for the wedding, I'll share details of that with you tomorrow.<br />
<br />
Thanks for dropping by to see today's project, hope you enjoyed your visit.<br />

<br />
A short while ago my lovely crafting pal <a href="https://purpliciousprincessdiaries.blogspot.co.uk/">Kathy</a> let me know the name of a stamp set she'd used on a card I was admiring. She then sent me a link to the set for a good price, of course another set jumped into my basket whilst browsing the site oopsie ! The 'accidentally' (ahem) purchased set was Stampers' Anonymous 'Flower Garden' CMS215'. <br />
<br />
When I 'fessed up to kathy, she said that was on her must-have list so headed off to purchase it. She then told her pal <a href="http://stampingforpleasure.blogspot.co.uk/2016/07/beautiful-cone-flowers.html">Sarn</a> what she'd bought and (just like a crafters pass-the-parcel) Sarn also purchased a set. Then she thought that as all three of us had the same stamp set, it might be nice to challenge me, <a href="https://purpliciousprincessdiaries.blogspot.co.uk/2016/07/welcome-to-start-of-another-week.html">kathy</a> and herself to create a project using the set. Oh what fun ! <br />
<br />
My set took a little longer to arrive than theirs so there has been a slight delay with makes, but I've now been busy. Do click on the links in the above paragraph to check out both of their fabulous creations.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsnqVsxSR0bs6PkhNZ9IrpSWzOVj-B2zzl8aw5a3P0vkttDlMCWSzLtSWL3KIqiTP4JXDb0OQJ5Rytmjw9wATBqDoE5FGXpWQE8gPskheWONp5oTaImF65_jNraNkySdjyVYrKfiZBvjU/s1600/coneflower+1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="366" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsnqVsxSR0bs6PkhNZ9IrpSWzOVj-B2zzl8aw5a3P0vkttDlMCWSzLtSWL3KIqiTP4JXDb0OQJ5Rytmjw9wATBqDoE5FGXpWQE8gPskheWONp5oTaImF65_jNraNkySdjyVYrKfiZBvjU/s400/coneflower+1.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Although there are quite a few different flowers in the set, the favourite of all of us is the Cone Flower, so this is the one we've all used.<br />
<br />
For my first card, I decided to use a water colour background technique that is new to me - pressing a Distress Ink pad onto a piece of acetate, spritzing with water then smooshing it onto the card/watercolour paper, drying each colour before adding the next. <br />
<br />
DI's used : Mowed Lawn, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade<br />
<br />
Once dry I stamped the cone flower over the background using black Archival ink. I then painted it using Fossilised Amber, Carved Pumpkin, Spiced Marmalade and Forest Moss for the stem and used Forest Moss to apply colour through a That's Crafty Dinky Stencil all over. I then added a sentiment stamped directly over the background using a Rubber Necker stamp from their Freehand Frame Phrase set 900. Swiped the black ink pad around the edges and attached to a black 5x5 base card.<br />
<br />
I was fairly pleased with finished card, but felt the background was a little too colourful and busy. So I made another, this time using just Mustard Seed through the stencil. The cone flower was coloured with the same DIs as the previous card<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0ovJhKRJ8ljVgb4XKzSuzCx4RLqOvFdnS8cKz3BjLFcLpxz1GvzpRfCB3ejhORJ6_cA0_3TLXHQhXNKO_EeBTv4YKQXOnPMtUiIQjp8PmG72veuJeStKjrufZR3mzfZyiuhcjCXkykJA/s1600/coneflower+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="395" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0ovJhKRJ8ljVgb4XKzSuzCx4RLqOvFdnS8cKz3BjLFcLpxz1GvzpRfCB3ejhORJ6_cA0_3TLXHQhXNKO_EeBTv4YKQXOnPMtUiIQjp8PmG72veuJeStKjrufZR3mzfZyiuhcjCXkykJA/s400/coneflower+2.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I think I prefer this version of the background. The sentiment is from a set which I think was a magazine freebie. Before attaching the painted panel to the black base card, I used another of my new stash items - Gansai Tambi Starry colours, using the Red Gold, applied through the same dinky stencil. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
There we go then, two cards using the same tools and materials. I hope both Kathy and Sarn are happy that I've managed to join in with the challenge at last. </div>

More new stash items were calling to me and I was too weak to resist Ha Ha. <br />
<br />
I'd watched some videos recently on Yupo paper used with Alcohol Inks and decided I just had to get some Yupo and have a go myself. I bought Ranger brand but there are other makes available.<br />
<br />
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1IVyXFNaVJcbvogdh3sDRcuxb-eImjCN3BNkXTfLNUXAYOwOxaz4Rp9_pwvwXDxArm0aLyILIx_06prZiWZflXoDoaCPhWgp1B4FdyHfc66Mp6mHEXA-VwKwztuqBICMYo50Vctj_p_8/s1600/IMG_1001+%2528Edited%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1IVyXFNaVJcbvogdh3sDRcuxb-eImjCN3BNkXTfLNUXAYOwOxaz4Rp9_pwvwXDxArm0aLyILIx_06prZiWZflXoDoaCPhWgp1B4FdyHfc66Mp6mHEXA-VwKwztuqBICMYo50Vctj_p_8/s640/IMG_1001+%2528Edited%2529.JPG" width="470" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div>
It's fun to watch how the inks react/interact on the Yupo and I'll be experimenting with other colours later.<br />
<br />
I used part of the background I created and added stamping using the Carabelle 'Ville d'oilleurs : Zitenkia' set which I've had in my stash for a while. I then used a new Sweet Poppy Stencil and black Stazon ink to add the larger image. Then Layered the background onto a slightly larger piece of black cartstock.</div>
<div>
<br />
Using a die from my new Seth Apter 'Drip Drop' set and black cardstock I diecut the 'drippy' ring then rubbed on a little Treasure Gold and added it to the background framing the stencilled image. I used a white Posca Pen to add a few highlights and to draw a line around the background attached to the black layer.<br />
<br />
Finally I used a new sentiment die (gift from a lovely pal) to cut out 'Enjoy' from white cardstock and attached it over the frame.<br />
<br />
I enjoyed playing with Yupo and have the other piece of the background to use on another project.<br />
<br />
Thanks for popping by to check out my latest project, hope you enjoyed seeing it.<br />

I'm loving the Hero Arts Ombre and Neon Ombre inkpads and this Neon yellow is so vibrant. I also used a sentiment stamp from the SU! Botanicals For You set I picked up for a bargain price at the first ever Sincerely Yours Craft Show held in Plymouth recently. It is so frustrating for those of us living in the SouthWest that we have to travel miles to visit a craft show, I was excited when I read that SY was venturing down here, I hope they come back here again and do another show.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
For the image I used the Visible Image INKcognito Flower stamp set and a splats stamp from another VI set. I then mounted the image layer over a slightly larger piece of coloured SU! card and then cut a frame using two sizes of die from my Crealies No 24 set of stitched rectangles. I stamped the sentiment using SU! Early Espresso ink onto another scrap of the linen effect cardstock using for the layers and frame.<br />
<br />
A simple design but I am pleased with the finished result.<br />
<br />
Thanks for dropping by, I hope you've enjoyed seeing todays project. I've more new things to play with and hope to share more projects with you soon.<br />

Debbie provided each of us with a set of two mache book boxes to alter as we wished. <br />
<br />
Here's the front of my finished book<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNOX-xJ_QRH6Pz8_xUVzTKy5Ea83SQiS75DLnXqD62oomrxWyzKlCr52bhOWTqjBz7aQOQCMlzdHCo7Edsy7hv5yfJ74qXk1ew4AFY3kyXraQKF83cLGvr1bENGQHwFiqmMvhAEmmrX3k/s1600/craftathon+debs+front.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNOX-xJ_QRH6Pz8_xUVzTKy5Ea83SQiS75DLnXqD62oomrxWyzKlCr52bhOWTqjBz7aQOQCMlzdHCo7Edsy7hv5yfJ74qXk1ew4AFY3kyXraQKF83cLGvr1bENGQHwFiqmMvhAEmmrX3k/s1600/craftathon+debs+front.JPG" /></a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQYKCzOXD14TnLvuDGplI3aMzoDqDy_PN5LiZPLjAqx2BQ2JNCEqlmdaSU-Wcdr2c7JT45hnJ_Q-o1jvTSKEz0eNF20QPIkLVbMLIqeViec0DAI-1uaatySQK3n1M_jTdXTvnTBwkY3Xk/s1600/craftathon+debs+book+proj+back.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQYKCzOXD14TnLvuDGplI3aMzoDqDy_PN5LiZPLjAqx2BQ2JNCEqlmdaSU-Wcdr2c7JT45hnJ_Q-o1jvTSKEz0eNF20QPIkLVbMLIqeViec0DAI-1uaatySQK3n1M_jTdXTvnTBwkY3Xk/s1600/craftathon+debs+book+proj+back.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used the smaller book first and started off covering it with a layer of white gesso. I then applied Paper Artsy Fresco chalk paints over then rubbed a little Silver Treasure Gold paste over the top. The image on the front is from a set by Crafty Individuals added using gel medium, with more medium over the top to seal and secure the image. I applied a thin coat of Stardust Stickles all over, except on the image.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I added Platinum Stickles around the edge of image then attached a scrap of lace down the left side and attached a metal key found in my stash. I made a closure using two pieces of lace and a couple of large gems, attached to front and back of the box.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
On the back I used some Crafty Individuals stamps and Stazon Black ink before applying the metal scissors embellie.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Inside I used another of the CI images and a small wooden clock charm, which I covered with the Treasure Gold. More scraps of lace, Stickles and lots of gems.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It was a fun project to complete - thank you Debbie.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I still have the larger book box which is still a WiP, I'll share once I've completed it.</div>

They really are a lovely couple.<br />
<br />
I made this card for them to wish them many congratulations and many years of happiness to come.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmkN6uQ_d7B5u4uerMW8xkwFiM9_tlBhvTu4uCskgGAEt1Rj5HbKfsu5hIIFL-DotSP7dTExpbeNLq4Lb-bcx83JHt0nDexQnsyUEoJe4SUkEbG6ASVJCRNvok97frCPQIjxqo8PLS1yE/s1600/anniv+bex+and+jim+2016.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmkN6uQ_d7B5u4uerMW8xkwFiM9_tlBhvTu4uCskgGAEt1Rj5HbKfsu5hIIFL-DotSP7dTExpbeNLq4Lb-bcx83JHt0nDexQnsyUEoJe4SUkEbG6ASVJCRNvok97frCPQIjxqo8PLS1yE/s1600/anniv+bex+and+jim+2016.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
I wanted a simple but elegant design for their card and selected the Dina Wakely Media Stamp Set 'Clearly Collaged Hearts' to use.<br />
<br />
The heart images were stamped using SU! Raspberry Ripple Ink, on to a square of white card cut using a set of Crealies stitched squares dies. <br />
<br />
I wrapped some SU! fine linen thread around the top layer and tied in a bow on the front before attaching over a larger piece of SU! Real Read cardstock before attaching to the 6 x 6 base card.<br />
<br />
Thanks for visiting today, hope you liked my project.<br />

I know her favourite colours are in the aqua, pale turquoise shades, so used these colours on her card.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitPyflo7Pn4TkmfH7Gyx4ZEDvEIj_iubeLET5YG1O3uag3WrMu7fUT-qqYW4thVh7PHIrJoGE3T1v71GSeW4w8ItYsYk1G-nBeerwI5tOATj5PqRslR-NPxZ2UBVJ9y_D_gZlPgBNAH3Q/s1600/get+well+allie+2016.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitPyflo7Pn4TkmfH7Gyx4ZEDvEIj_iubeLET5YG1O3uag3WrMu7fUT-qqYW4thVh7PHIrJoGE3T1v71GSeW4w8ItYsYk1G-nBeerwI5tOATj5PqRslR-NPxZ2UBVJ9y_D_gZlPgBNAH3Q/s1600/get+well+allie+2016.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
I stamped this wonderful large flower from the SU! Best Thoughts stamp set using SU! Bermuda Bay ink, overstamped at the bottom using a stamp from the Dare 2B Artsy Totally Tracy TT16014 Textures set, using SU! Baja Breeze ink. The sentiment is from the SU! Sassy Salutations stamp set, using the Bermuda Bay ink.<br />
<br />
I then cut the stamped layer using a Crealies stitched rectangles die set, added the stamped layer onto a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock using the next size up of the stitched rectangle die set. I attached the layers to a C6 deckle edge base card. <br />
<br />
Finally I added some gems from my stash and a touch of clear Wink of Stella pen in the centre of the flowers.<br />
<br />
I hope she is continuing along her healing journey, she is often in my thoughts.<br />
<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFYIa7jjWeoRYt98dmec8kA1L2u9EKuR-EhuY6UigHIdlzjcTxw77HvMeGNmJ4sshTcU3Zt19XZ5RPX-BjjVP2j2z-YXIHtHGvBp2PHdoujDdAXpyyOHXNYhYeiu9Z0o0ayXq8q-0HqKQ/s1600/my+brain+has+too+many+tabs+open+journal+page.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFYIa7jjWeoRYt98dmec8kA1L2u9EKuR-EhuY6UigHIdlzjcTxw77HvMeGNmJ4sshTcU3Zt19XZ5RPX-BjjVP2j2z-YXIHtHGvBp2PHdoujDdAXpyyOHXNYhYeiu9Z0o0ayXq8q-0HqKQ/s1600/my+brain+has+too+many+tabs+open+journal+page.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
For this page I again used Dylusions Paints, applied over a page 'primed' by a think coat of white gesso. The colours were applied using an old credit card to give a more 'scrappy' and interesting layer. <br />
<br />
I then used a Paper Artsy stamp set JOFY38 for the bubble flowers and grasses image from the PA ELB25 stamp set. Images tamped onto the page using Stazon Black ink and then painted over with Dylusions paints.<br />
<br />
Once the paint was dry, I added highlights with a white Signo Pen and re-drew the squiggles on the flowers (something like the stamp image !) as the paint had obscured the stamped image in parts. Using the Pitt Pen I added lots of bubbles and highlights on the grasses using the Signo pen. <br />
<br />
I sealed the page with a light spray of Spray and Shine before adding the words which were stamped from the Dylusions Ugh! People stamp set. I cut out the words I wanted from different stamps and attached with gel medium.<br />
<br />
This is often how my brain feels ha ha ! anyone else identify with this or am I on my own !<br />
<br />
Have a great day.<br />

I bought a set of three small Moleskin journals which I believe are a dinky A6 size. I reasoned that a smaller page wouldn't be quite so daunting and an ulterior motive was that I'd signed up to a journal 'round robin' which is using this size, so thought I'd start to practice designs I might use for the challenge before actually creating my page to then send on to the next person in the challenge.<br />
<br />
I'll be sharing my early attempts in the coming days and, once the RR journal is complete, I'll be able to share the two page spread I added to it - wouldn't want to spoil anything by revealing my pages before the others have done theirs.<br />
<br />
I'm sharing a page today which was inspired by the fact that I had some of the practice drawings of faces I'd made when I was making my three wooden spoon dollies. It seemed a shame to throw the face away so thought I'd add it to a journal page. Do you think it works ?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihbWh4MQbWbKvXVw03VNfBskTkK24hirYippLQljG-Mq9Dpr07ABWWgMwLuKxYOv3h8NOYeHQpuVUQ1a9pVhyphenhyphenXAWBEygN2STp8B9TGYmvO2E9ddnCgxhszJI6rQxrhYk8_nioF5IQh9-E/s1600/growing+people+journal+page.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihbWh4MQbWbKvXVw03VNfBskTkK24hirYippLQljG-Mq9Dpr07ABWWgMwLuKxYOv3h8NOYeHQpuVUQ1a9pVhyphenhyphenXAWBEygN2STp8B9TGYmvO2E9ddnCgxhszJI6rQxrhYk8_nioF5IQh9-E/s1600/growing+people+journal+page.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
The background was created with Dylusions Paints, colours toned down by a final thin coat of white. I then stamped images from the Paper Artsy Ecclectica ELB25 stamp set designed by Lin Brown - the same set I used on spoon dolly number 3.<br />
<br />
I used gel medium to stick the face onto the stamped images before painting the images with the Dylusions Paints. I also applied a coat of the gel medium over the top of the drawn face to seal it. Once the page was dry I gave it a light spray of 'Spray and Shine' to seal everything.<br />
<br />
I think there are some quick fun and quirky sentiments in the Dylusions Ugh! People stamp set. I wanted to create my own wording so stamped a few and picked out words from the full sentiments to create something appropriate for my page. I hope it worked !<br />
<br />
As a finishing touch, I used a Black Pitt Pen and white gesso applied with a very small brush, to add hightlights and define some parts of the images.<br />
<br />
Let me know what you think of my page by leaving me a comment if you have time. Thanks for visiting today.<br />
<br />
Have a great day.<br />

Today's project is the card which I made for my pal Linda who celebrated her Birthday recently. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLInFKEnyQ8mz_TBwMExPDctQ4qgiisByVqz3JeKTG72t_LjPV5KlPIIu8_9WoegtlpOwY3zkpXrbLiGJDjtcgyElyi-f6Yg0c3QHmB4CQEatB-7rcZhcToWPI2E7NrcbgmXtT9JVSOAc/s1600/happy+birthday+linda+2016.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLInFKEnyQ8mz_TBwMExPDctQ4qgiisByVqz3JeKTG72t_LjPV5KlPIIu8_9WoegtlpOwY3zkpXrbLiGJDjtcgyElyi-f6Yg0c3QHmB4CQEatB-7rcZhcToWPI2E7NrcbgmXtT9JVSOAc/s1600/happy+birthday+linda+2016.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
Linda is also my local SU! demonstrator so I decided to honour our friendship by using mostly SU! products to create her card.<br />
<br />
I stamped up lots of flowers in different sizes and colours using the Polka Dot Pieces stamp set and SU! scalloped edge punches in 1 1/4" and 1 3/4" to match the flower stamps.<br />
<br />
SU! ink colours used were : Baja Breeze, Strawberry Slush, Island Indigo, Crushed Curry, Blushing Bride, Pistachio Pudding and Pear Pizzaz.<br />
<br />
After stamping and punching out all the flowers I layered them up to create the appearance of a bouquet on the front of the 6 x 6 scalloped edge base card. For the sentiment I used the Rubbernecker Freehand Phrase #900 stamp set, the drawn circle stamped with Island Indio ink and the sentiment stamped with Stawberry Slush ink. This was then cut out using a nestie circle die as I don't have the right size of SU! punch - at the moment !<br />
<br />
I hope you enjoyed today's project, thanks for dropping by here today.<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZR8bAvBX34lmeOn2RMw823mXCaWBAtVhMfyva0XvFCmbECtlwpqre08JAIBr5Uq_PfGv_R0jY4FWTjj9ju1JeFB2LElDMh28TIoDRzs8_O6TPL1BYal1VNdFOWXEFplVdboV4FcpyThc/s1600/tom+BD+2016.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZR8bAvBX34lmeOn2RMw823mXCaWBAtVhMfyva0XvFCmbECtlwpqre08JAIBr5Uq_PfGv_R0jY4FWTjj9ju1JeFB2LElDMh28TIoDRzs8_O6TPL1BYal1VNdFOWXEFplVdboV4FcpyThc/s1600/tom+BD+2016.JPG" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I watched an inspirational video recently by Kim Dellow, in which she was demonstrating how to create a faux screen print effect using acrylic paints and an old credit card to apply colour, then overstamped. I wanted to have a go - of course - and the background of the card was my first attempt.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Well, it didn't turn out anything like I thought it would ! Surprised ? Nah, but it is my own take on it and I was quite happy with the finished piece. I used Paper Artsy Fresco chalk paints in Mermaid, Toad Hall, Squid Ink and Snowflake (over the top of the other colours to tone down the colour a little but still let a certain amount show through.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I then used a large sequin waste design Artistic Stamper stamp to apply more of the white paint. Once dry on top of the background I stamped with Onyx Black Versafine ink using a Kaiserkraft wood grain stamp on the left and part of a Craft Stamper freebie stamp to add a little detail down the edge of the right hand side.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used an offcut left from cutting out the main background, which contained a little of the paint, using this as a strip across the background. Using an image from the Paper Artsy B6 Buttons 6 stamp set and the black versafine ink I stamped the main image. I then used Distress Ink to age the image, adding colour around the edges. The image was then layered over cardstock in colours to pick out those in the background.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The sentiment is from the SU! Sassy Salutations stamp set and edged using an Aubergine ProMarker.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hubby was impressed by my card so I think I can chalk that up as a success don't you ?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thanks for stopping by today, hope you've enjoyed your visit.</div>

<br />
Today's project is a Birthday card I made for another of my purple-loving crafting pals who celebrated her special day recently.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYEk8m-rQ4w6rcttXY4OLzSV0wwLUTG64hl7onkeZIPEMyiGFcCS3bk3pk8XyT3N9WtPp8hzqB2y9eleN_WFdy_2fwOJrO54EXxh0I0kP58w1xbyhvLKmVbhINVJ78E6RJddUEEBOlDA4/s1600/lynne+BD+2016.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYEk8m-rQ4w6rcttXY4OLzSV0wwLUTG64hl7onkeZIPEMyiGFcCS3bk3pk8XyT3N9WtPp8hzqB2y9eleN_WFdy_2fwOJrO54EXxh0I0kP58w1xbyhvLKmVbhINVJ78E6RJddUEEBOlDA4/s1600/lynne+BD+2016.JPG" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I used a Penny Black Slapstick stamp called 'Adorned with Love' which I love. I stamped it onto a piece of white cardstock using Versamark ink and heat embossed using Black extra fine Embossing Powder.<br />
<br />
I used Gelatos to add colour, blending with a baby wipe, plus Seedless Preserves Distress Ink. I then added some Glossy Accents on parts of the image. The image was then matted and layered over a larger piece of white linen finish card and then over an even larger piece of black card before attaching to a 6 x 6 basecard.<br />
<br />
For the sentiment I used Rubbernecker stamps 'Freehand Phrase Set #900 which includes the drawn square and a number of sentiments which fit perfectly inside the frames. Stamped using Onyx Black Versafine ink onto a scrap of white card, cut out then coloured using more Gelato.<br />
<br />
The design finished off with some gems from my stash.<br />
<br />
I hope you've enjoyed today's project, would love to hear what you thought of it. Have a great day whatever you have planned.<br />

<br />
The design for this last dolly was inspired by a set of stamps by Paper Artsy it's ELB25 from their Eclectica range, designed by Lin Brown.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhH9UKvPK8cjqpuZJUGruTj0sR7w3sAsJvNfePzWo-7hLga3ZhOmhCGMAUcdmgr0YPR-lBzNZSUYjF6t4yL6Ook9nRiU99v0bsjWXDXuCp7Pigkqedu4OUhJ9W_mPHVK8yu9ER_kSJrnvQ/s1600/spoon+dolly+3+front.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhH9UKvPK8cjqpuZJUGruTj0sR7w3sAsJvNfePzWo-7hLga3ZhOmhCGMAUcdmgr0YPR-lBzNZSUYjF6t4yL6Ook9nRiU99v0bsjWXDXuCp7Pigkqedu4OUhJ9W_mPHVK8yu9ER_kSJrnvQ/s1600/spoon+dolly+3+front.JPG" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
When I saw this stamp set, I thought the large flower image would work really well as hair for a spoon dolly, and it did. I stamped it twice and coloured with Distress Pens then cut out both images. I cut off the base of the flower for the front and used it as a fringe. I attached the other coloured image on the back. I think it worked really well.<br />
<br />
here's a pic of the back<br />
<br />

<br />
That's it for this trio of dollies, I do have one more to share at a later date as I'll give you a rest for a while, don't want you getting 'dolly fatigue' Ha Ha<br />
<br />
Thanks for popping in today, I'd love to hear which of the dollies is your favourite, if you have time to leave me a comment and vote for 1, 2 or 3 that would be fantastic.<br />

<br />
As promised in my last post, I have another of my wooden spoon dollies to share with you today. My first one was inspired by Kate Crane's work but today's dolly is straight from my own imagination. This dolly is the same size as the first one, just 16cm tall, so a small area to work on.<br />
<br />
Here she is<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhx9Hb6saJtrNspMU8hdFlV41Vr2pWX9aQqZKgs-fbimBtqNGK_R42w3wvxkYdw-eK94siWHG9ewbbQ1O23tVqxSdLQ1vXDFXeUH55FchlYkQ5Y1vlGD-Yxj7OeZYA1yIu80hG_gkMzU0Q/s1600/spoon+dolly+2+front.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhx9Hb6saJtrNspMU8hdFlV41Vr2pWX9aQqZKgs-fbimBtqNGK_R42w3wvxkYdw-eK94siWHG9ewbbQ1O23tVqxSdLQ1vXDFXeUH55FchlYkQ5Y1vlGD-Yxj7OeZYA1yIu80hG_gkMzU0Q/s1600/spoon+dolly+2+front.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For this dolly I again coated the spoon with a thin coat of Paper Artsy Fresco chalk ink in Snowflake to create a slightly more realistic skin tone. I then drew a sleeping face on her using various pencils and pens. I added a petticoat under where her dress is and gave her sparkly slippers using a pink Promarker covered with pink Stickles. I finished with a light spray of Crafters' Companion Spray and Shine to seal the pencils and inks.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I then plaited some lovely double knitting alpaca yarn to create some braids for hair and attached them using a glue gun. As I'd drawn her face with closed eyes, I thought I'd dress her in a nightdress as the fabric scrap I selected was perfect. I then finished the neckline using a length of pink seam binding I had in my stash.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Here's a pic of her from the back.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
So, there is today's wooden spoon dolly, I hope you've enjoyed seeing her today, thank you much for visiting. I'll share the last of the trio in my next post. <br />
<br />
Have a wonderful craft filled day wherever you are in the world.<br />

<br />
For my project today I thought I'd share something different. A few weeks ago I went to Grimsby to meet some of my online crafting pals and have our annual meet up we affectionately call 'Craftathon'. It's so lovely to see everyone for a full-on weekend of crafting fun. Each year we all take along what we call our 'shoebox project', something which doesn't take too long to complete and we each provide a set of the materials to complete our project in case there isn't sufficient time for everyone to complete it and so can finish at home.<br />
<br />
This year my project was to create a little dolly using a small wooden spoon just 16cm tall. Here is the first of the examples I took along as inspiration for everyone.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCprAsbU1p_tj8-Y76C-8d5yxX03xjFWv9dGXSf-hGXYmwkTUL6Ov-OAk04MVq8n9HVDItuZ1bttoU3AShzDUAkHvwSBV16iIuJXqz6HbUOQxy5jqbvW6-p4awKAZc0sWC3tyw5DA0wLY/s1600/spoon+dolly+1+front.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCprAsbU1p_tj8-Y76C-8d5yxX03xjFWv9dGXSf-hGXYmwkTUL6Ov-OAk04MVq8n9HVDItuZ1bttoU3AShzDUAkHvwSBV16iIuJXqz6HbUOQxy5jqbvW6-p4awKAZc0sWC3tyw5DA0wLY/s1600/spoon+dolly+1+front.JPG" /></a></div>
<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
My first sample was inspired by the lovely Kate Crane who shared a similar spoon dolly on her blog <a href="http://thekathrynwheel.blogspot.co.uk/">The Kathryn Wheel</a> recently and this is my version of a similar dolly to the one she created. <br />
<br />
I applied a thin coat of Paper Artsy Fresco Snowflake (white) chalk paint and then drew her face directly onto the bowl of the spoon using a mixture of various pencils and pens. I added Glossy Accents on her shoes to make them shiny. I have drawn a petticoat on her to protect her modesty under the dress Ha Ha !<br />
<br />
I then added a light spray of Crafters' Companion 'Spray and Shine' to seal the chalk surface and drawn features and protect the whole thing. I then used some scraps of fabric to create a dress for her with matching ribbons. Her hair was made using some thin twine and the little charm on her pocket was from my stash.<br />
<br />
Here's a view of her back<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'll share the other dollies over the next few days as I didn't want to make this post too picture heavy and risk boring you !</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I hope you've enjoyed seeing today's project, she was real fun to make. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

I hope you have a nice day to look forward to and enjoying your weekend, I'm off to visit my daughter and her family in a short while, can't wait.<br />
<br />
Today I'm sharing a project with you which I made a short while ago for my purple loving pal <a href="http://purpliciousprincessdiaries.blogspot.co.uk/">Kathy</a><br />
<br />
.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQ5j4QwU1c2MRsTTil2ebxfoxuPGZzMjqMyHhmuZOGwa7Y-DbDV08RQxYEN99VC7e5hWdciPRmH-xpNXWSk4CoWgCM8jIkqySYhItraEQmXRlQWo1vZ9b1gM8DSuus4HEUNusrDjldNBI/s1600/kathy+BD+2016.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQ5j4QwU1c2MRsTTil2ebxfoxuPGZzMjqMyHhmuZOGwa7Y-DbDV08RQxYEN99VC7e5hWdciPRmH-xpNXWSk4CoWgCM8jIkqySYhItraEQmXRlQWo1vZ9b1gM8DSuus4HEUNusrDjldNBI/s1600/kathy+BD+2016.JPG" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Using a piece of Crafter's Companion watercolour card I created a background with Distress Inks - shaded lilac, shabby shutters and wilted violet. Extra wilted violet added over through part of a Tim Holtz stencil, then water flicked over and dabbed off with a tissue to lift of some of the colour. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Lightly sprayed with Brusho Acrylic Shimmer Spray in Silver - which I think looks more like platinum and I do like it - then a few drops of Copic Opaque ink applied randomly.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The background stamped over using the flower head image from the Paper Artsy Ecclectic ELB25 stamp set designed by Lin Brown and Versamark ink, then applying white embossing powder and heated. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
A sentiment created using a stamp from the SU! Sassy Salutations set and a scrap of card. The scribbly circle embellishment cut from a scrap of SU! carstock using Tim Holtz Alterations sizzix die set, then a length of purple hemp cord wrapped around the panel and tied.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The panel matted over two layers of SU! cardstock and attached to a 6 x 6 scalloped edge square card.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
Kathy loved it, I hope you do too. Thanks for dropping by here today, hope to see you here again soon.<br />

So I set about making my first ATC for ages and I'm pleased with how it turned out.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">

It was fun to make, doubly so using these Tim Holtz Crazy Bird and Accessories images with Distress Inks and Glossy Accents. Not sure of the manufacturer of the sentiment stamp on the front of the holder but hope my pal will be able to help me as it is her stamp.<br />
<br />
Hope you enjoyed seeing today's project, thanks for visiting.<br />

I love this image and thought it would make him smile when he saw his card.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEityi5zw2WIBvXB57BLdorwX0BOgDkUJwZ-2mkMe7JEq5T_bU8uuo_qnDCPSFOmEuPqKN4SXYp8U_cEbUTuyoWmVQ8W_Rt9R7k2XOrpqDXWJ_ln1bV015ejtBuPFfkfC7LFcMYJevaAM8g/s1600/charlie+BD+2016.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEityi5zw2WIBvXB57BLdorwX0BOgDkUJwZ-2mkMe7JEq5T_bU8uuo_qnDCPSFOmEuPqKN4SXYp8U_cEbUTuyoWmVQ8W_Rt9R7k2XOrpqDXWJ_ln1bV015ejtBuPFfkfC7LFcMYJevaAM8g/s1600/charlie+BD+2016.JPG" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
A while back I received some freebie papers in a magazine and this cheeky chimp was on one of the sheets, the blue stars background was part of another page. I cut the chimp image out and layered it onto some SU! card and attached all to the background. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The arrow was another freebie, this time a digital image that I'd had in my stash for a long time, I cut this out and added it between the image layer and dark blue layer.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The sentiment background was created using a piece of the edging around the image and I stamped the words onto it using one of the stamps from the SU! Sassy Salutations set before layering it up on more of the dark blue card.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The final touch was adding a little pale blue stickles around the edge of the background and Glossy Accents over the lenses of the chimp's sunglasses.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Don't you think he's a really cutie ? </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thanks for dropping by to check on today's project. </div>
