Take it Easy - It's Your Birthday

I made this card a while ago, but as it was to be the birthday card for my Dad, I didn't want to share it on here, just in case he saw it before the Big Day!   It's safe now as it was his birthday on 6 November.

I just love this 'Mr Fix It' stamp from Lili of the Valley, just perfect for a birthday card or even a 'new home' card with it's decorator/DIY theme.  I coloured the image with Promarkers and Copics, the papers were in my stash and the brown card used as a mat is Close to Cocoa by Stamping Up!  The sentiment is from a sheet of stamps by Papermania which I cut out using a shapeabilities die.  The red flowers were punched using a Nellie Snellen 'punch & emboss' set and I added a tiny red gem in the centre of each. A little Glossy Accents added to the paint tins and spills, gives them some dimension.  The lovely narrow brown ribbon was from Michaels (only 59 cents a roll!) in Florida.  Finally, I added Platinum Stickles around the edges of the image layer.

Hope you've enjoyed today's project and that you'll drop by again real soon, til then - Happy Crafting !
