Tea with Friends

I made this card for a dear friend who's birthday is this month, I used the sketch from this week's sketchie challenge on Craftbubble.com for my layout The image is from the Victoria Case for Susana's Custom Art and Card Design (SCACD) stamp set. I coloured the image using ProMarkers with a few small highlights using spica pens. The sentiment is from the sheet of Susanaments availble from SCACD, I added a Prima flower with small pink rosebuds in the centre and ribbons from my stash, I then applied diamond stickles to highlight the flowers. I added a heart charm purchased from Quixotic Paperie. The pink horizontal lace ribbon was created using a Martha Stewart border punch.

Nuts for You

Here is another card using one of my newly aquired Victoria Case for SCACD stamps. She is such a cutiepie and I couldn't resist using her as soon as possible. She is coloured using promarkers and I added a little Flowersoft to her bouquet. The flowers are Daisy Dreams by Prima, the sentiment is from the Susanaments sheet available from SCACD.

Singing in the Rain

Here's a card I've made using one of my newly purchased Victoria Case for SCACD stamps. She was coloured using Promarkers and I added some glaze to her wellies puddles and the top of the umbrella to simulate rain. Again, I've used some my crocheted flowers accented with pearl beads. The flowers were sprayed with Cute Companions Spray and Sparkle in Silver, this gives them just a hint of sparkle - again adding to illusion of water. The sentiment is one of the Susanaments stamps available from SCACD. The sketch used is the current challenge on the Paper Craft Planet SCACD forum, although I have changed the sketch a little to fit my design layout.

Anki's Sweethearts Blog Candy Win

I would like to share with you these three cards I made using a couple of the stamps I won recently on the Follow your Heart blog at Susana's Custome Art and Card Design.

The two cards using Fluffy have been entered in the Craftbubble.com group "Stamping Mad" for the July challenge which is to produce a piece of stamped work which is hand coloured using any medium. I chose to use Promarkers for these cards.

Kindred Spirits

My DH and I recently celebrated our 40th Wedding Anniversary and this is the card I made for him to demonstrate my enduring love for him. The image is from Stamping Up stamped on ivory card, which was sent to me as part of a SU sample pack I purchased. I coloured the image using Distress Inks and water brush, I then used one of my nestabilities deckle edge dies to cut the top layer, then layered this on top of a rectangle of plain blue card from my stash. The DP is from Basic Grey and the sentiment came from a sheet of Hero Arts - Anyone Can Stamp range, which I stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with black embossing powder. I felt it was a much more subtle message than a regular 40th Anniversary sentiment and I was very pleased with the final result (and DH loved it!)

Faerie Song Art Stamps Challenge Entry

I thought I'd share with you my entry for the latest Faerie Song Art Stamps Challenge sketch over on Paper Craft Planet. The theme for this sketch is Christmas and so I selected one of the FSAS I recently purchased to use as a Christmas card. The image was coloured with Promarkers and I added a little stickles diamond glitter to highlight her crown, pendant, belt and shoes. I used one of my own crochet flowers in gold, layered up onto a Prima flower and finished off with a gold snowflake brad from my stash. I also added some fronds cut using a Martha Stewart punch cut from gold paper. The large gold spacers were purchased from Quixotic Paperie a great source for charms and other crafting goodies, and then added a cream pearl from my stash to the centre of each. After colouring the image and stippling a little gold ink around the edges of the top layer, I sprayed the whole layer with two coats of Crafter's Companion Spray and Shine and followed this with one layer of CC Spray and Sparkle. Unfortunately the photo doesn't show the glossy and sparkly finish too well, but I was very pleased with the result on my first use of these two products. Clicking on the image brings up a larger picture which shows the glossy/glittery finish much better.
