Happy Birthday Mr Tom

Today is my dear hubby's birthday and this is the card I made for him.  We are celebrating his special day in Las Vegas amongst a number of family members and it promises to be a fabulous day.

I used Kraft for the base card, the image is from a 'Create a Scene' set by Creative Expressions.  I stamped on to cream card with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and used a waterbrush to drag in some of the colour while the ink was still wet.  I do like this colouring technique for images with a vintage theme and it's great for a man's card.  I layered the image on to a scrap of SU! Garden Green cardstock, to give just a hint of a frame and make the image pop against the background

As mr tom is very keen on anything and everything to do with trains, especially steam trains, I thought this image was just perfect for him.  As it's a man's card I didn't add flowers, glitter or fussy embellies, just a row of simple square gems and I stamped the sentiment right on to the base card with Rich Cocoa Memento ink.

That's it from me for today, we've got a P.A.R.T.Y. to go to....... !
