Red, White and Blue

These three colours are very prominent this weekend, and quite rightly so with such a momentous celebration for the United Kingdom, the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth 2nd is of great historic significance.  Even if one isn't a fan of the Royal Family (which I am and proud of it !) it's quite an achievement for a lady of the Queen's age to have worked in the service of her people for so many years and continues to do so.   Congratulations Your Majesty.

Red, White and Blue is the colour theme for this week's challenge on Simply Less is More and I've made this card as my entry.
I used SU! stamp sets to create my design, stamping the frame directly onto the square base card using Memento Paris Dusk ink.  I then used the matching shaped curly label punch to cut out a layer to attach over the centre of the frame.  On the label shape I stamped the sentiment in Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink and the tiny crown image with the Paris Dusk.

The label shape is popped up using some PinFlair glue to give dimension and I used a dark blue Copic marker dragged around the edge to define the shape.  I added Glossy Accents to the little crown image and you can see this in the close up shot.

The 'Celebrate' sentiment was stamped directly onto the base card using the Rhubarb Stalk ink.

A very CAS card and I'm really pleased with the finished result.

Thanks for dropping by today, I hope you've enjoyed my latest project.

A fabulous card to celebrate the Queen's Golden Jubilee - here's hoping she can set a new record and beat Queen Victoria's reign.

I hope you have a wonderful time over the bank holiday weekend.
