Wooden Spoon Dolly Number 2

Hey there, welcome to Stamping Grandma today, thanks for dropping by today I hope you enjoy your visit.

As promised in my last post, I have another of my wooden spoon dollies to share with you today.  My first one was inspired by Kate Crane's work but today's dolly is straight from my own imagination.  This dolly is the same size as the first one, just 16cm tall, so a small area to work on.

Here she is

For this dolly I again coated the spoon with a thin coat of Paper Artsy Fresco chalk ink in Snowflake to create a slightly more realistic skin tone.  I then drew a sleeping face on her using various pencils and pens.  I added a petticoat under where her dress is and gave her sparkly slippers using a pink Promarker covered with pink Stickles.  I finished with a light spray of Crafters' Companion Spray and Shine to seal the pencils and inks.

I then plaited some lovely double knitting alpaca yarn to create some braids for hair and attached them using a glue gun.  As I'd drawn her face with closed eyes, I thought I'd dress her in a nightdress as the fabric scrap I selected was perfect.  I then finished the neckline using a length of pink seam binding I had in my stash.

Here's a pic of her from the back.

So, there is today's wooden spoon dolly, I hope you've enjoyed seeing her today, thank you much for visiting.  I'll share the last of the trio in my next post.

Have a wonderful craft filled day wherever you are in the world.
