Heart of the Matter

I've got an Art Journal page to share with you today.   It's taken me a while to get this completely finished, I had the idea in my head for some time.

I created the background using Pan Pastels on some textured watercolour paper, punched out mini heart shapes from each of the colours of Stampin Up! cardstock I have and attached them in rows.  I then used my sewing machine to stitch each row, through the centre of the heart shapes.

The wording was created on my computer.

My Journal is filling up slowly as I'm also doing pages in my SMASH* Book.   There's a 30 Day SMASH challenge over on a Facebook group I belong to and I'm working my way through the different topics.  We don't have to do them on a consecutive 30 days or in order, so I'm following my inspiration as I get ideas.

This one is Day 28 - Funny Faces.

I've a couple more pages finishesd, but I won't bore you with any more today, I'll keep them for another day !

I really love this page Wynneth. The hearts, the background and the sewing are fabulous. I love the sentiment against the rows too. Happy smashing. Hugs Cherry xXx

Such patience sticking and stitching on all those hearts but certainly worth all the effort.

Your SMASH book really is coming along great too. x

Some more great pages. I adore the heart one, must of taken a little while to stick them all down, but is a fantastic effect! x
