Something New

Hi Bloggers - I've a huge apology to make to you all, I just plain forgot to schedule in the post sharing my Cute Card Thursday DT project for this week.  It should have posted up on here on Thursday morning, but just didn't happen and I've had a busy couple of days.

This week's CCT theme is 'Something New' and our prize is sponsored by All Dressed Up this week.

You can check out the great digi's available by clicking on the link above.

I've used this really sweet image from All Dressed Up for my DT card.  It's such a pretty image and perfect for creating another Christmas card to add to my stock ready for the end of this year.  I'm trying get at least one card made each week throughout the year so as to avoid the last minute rush in November.

I coloured the image using Copics, added touches of Wink of Stella pen and some Glossy Accents on the tree baubles to give them dimension. The card is an easel card with the holly berries and red gems acting as the easel stops on the base.

The holly leaves were cut using a Spellbinders die, the scrap of Christmas ribbon was from my stash and all the coloured card and paper used is from Stampin' Up!  I added the festive red button, tied with twine as a small embellishment.

The design is clean and unfussy, not quite CAS though.

I visited the Crafts4Crafters show at Exeter Westpoint on Thursday with a couple of crafting buddies.  It was a great day, lots of exhibitors and I managed to find a few new things which needed to come home to live in my stash !  Totally exhausting though and yesterday I was aching all over and very tired !  I'll share some pix of my new stash as soon as I've edited them.

Thanks for visiting to check out my project, hope you enjoyed your visit.

Great to hear you made it to Craft4Crafters AND managed to find some things to take home with you but sorry to hear you "paid for it" the following day - hope those aches have dispersed now matey

I do like the image on your card Wynneth, and the trad colours and clean look suit it perfectly. Unfortunately I'm still printerless so they wouldn't work for me. Glad you had a great time at the fair, and looking forward to seeing your stash!

Such a sweet design carried all the way through the card. Love it.
