Colour Burst with Salt

Happy Tuesday folks, how are you doing today ?  Good I hope.

Today my project involves Ken Oliver's Colour Burst pigments to create a lovely vibrant background using just two colours and a piece of water colour card.

I spritzed with water before dropping a few grains of the pigment onto the damp card and allowed the colours to develop for a short while.  I then sprinkled over a few grains of salt which picked up some of the colour and produced an attractive effect.

The finished and dried background was turned into this card by stamping randomly using a stamp from the 'Zintenkia' set by Ville de ailleurs and Black Archival ink.  I doodled some smaller images with a fine nib Pitt Pen in between the stamped images.  I then used a Dove Blender Pen and SU! Whisper White ink to colour parts of the stamped circles.  Using a faux zig zag stitches stamp from Elines stamp set ECO144 and Archival ink to stamp around the edges to look like it had been stitched with thread.

The background layer was then attached to a 5 x 5 black base card.

Finally I stamped the sentiment from the SU! Sassy Salutations stamp set on to a scrap of the watercolour card and again stamped around the edges using the faux stitching stamp.  This was attached in the centre of the lower edge of the background, overlapping slightly.

I hope you enjoyed today's project and thanks for swinging by today.

Happy Crafting !
