Sweet Stampin Challenge

If you visited my blog last saturday, you will be aware that I am lucky enough to have been asked to be a Guest Designer with the DT over on the Sweet Stampin Challege Blog for the month of April.  Why not submit an entry yourself for the challenge this week, I'm sure you would have fun creating it!  Just pop over to the blog to find all the details.

This is my second week as GDT and the challenge this week is to use at least three of the colours from: Kraft, Not Quite Navy, Bashful Blue and Pretty in Pink.

For my card this week, I've again chosen to use a Lili of the Valley stamp, I just love this sweet fairy image.  I coloured her with Copics and ProMarkers and added a little Spica glitter pen.  I used Glamour Dust on her wings and Glossy Accents on the flowers and leaves.

The image was cut out using an inverted scallop circle nestabilities die and 'Faded Jeans' Distress Ink buffed around the edges of the circle.  Whilst I don't actually have the named colours in my stash, I think the colours I used are very close approximations.  The blue band across the centre was punched with a Martha Stewart border punch.

The lacy edge of the Kraft layer was punched with another Martha Stewart border punch and the flowers cut with the MS Hydrangea punch from white card which I coloured with matching ProMarkers.  I used the tiny flowers, with a small pearl added, in the scallop spaces and added a little Crystal Stickles to the centre of the rest of the flowers.  The background paper is a free download from Cuddly Buddly, which I printed on to 'Morphing Mauve' pearl paper.  Finally I stamped the sentiment and cut out with a circle punch, layered it on to a blue circle cut with a smaller die from the same inverted scallop die set used for the main image.

Thanks for visiting today, I'll have another DT creation for SSC to share with you next saturday, I do hope you'll visit again then.
