Cute Card Thursday with you. I was away on vacation when I learned I was lucky enough to be joining the talented ladies who are the DT and was itching to get my first project finished as soon as I arrived home.
The theme for this week's challenge (#163) is "I like Chocolate - a lot" and can be interpretted how you wish, colours/text/image or all of these - just make it as chocolately as you wish ! The prize sponsor for this challenge is The Stamp Shoppe. Check out the full details of the challenge over on the CCT blog.
For my DT project I decided to use the delightful 'Tilda Holding Egg Basket' by Magnolia, colouring her with lots of chocolately brown shades of Copics. Of course, the eggs in her basket are chocolate eggs - my favourite sort !!!
The sentiment was created on the computer and printed in brown ink and I added Platinum Stickles around the edges of all the hearts. The brown half pearls were in my stash and the background paper was a piece that I've had in my stash for a while, so apologies but I don't know the manufacturer. The lovely lace edging was acquired at a Michael's craft store in the USA during my recent trip and was reduced to a bargain price for a huge roll - too good a bargain to miss and didn't really take up a lot of room in my suitcase ! The card easily unfastens from it's triangular shape to fold flat for mailing. Instructions for the 'floating image' card were in Craft Stamper magazine a couple of months ago.
