I've quite recently discovered the Pear Tree Designs Challenge Blog and decided to make my first entry for their challenge #2 - Floral Delights - this week.
For the challenge, we are asked to use flowers on our project somewhere. Well, you know me, can't do things by half, so I've totally covered my card with handmade flowers! You don't think I've overdone it all do you? heeee......heeeeee....!
I used a set of flower stamps from Hero Arts which, I have to say, I've used rather a lot in different ways since I bought it. I stamped the two largest flowers and both leaves from the set on to patterned papers from a Papermania pad. The paper used for the flowers actually has bunnies in the pattern, but by selecting the areas on which to stamp, I don't think it is obvious tha this is Easter themed. After cutting the flowers and leaves out and curling the petals slightly with my bone folder, I've layered them up, adding silicone glue to raise up certain petals and all the leaves. The background paper (which is barely visible!) was also from the same pad of PM papers. Buttons in the centres and a simple greeting set at an angle and - hey presto! the card is finished.
Thanks for dropping by and I look forward to welcoming you back again soon.
