Charlie's new 'Best Blankie'

Good morning dear readers.  I thought I'd give you a bit of a break from my card projects today and share with you another project I completed recently.

My youngest grandson Charlie asked me to make him a new Blankie as his 'old faithful' is virtually falling apart.  The Blankie (as I'm sure you know)  is a very treasured posession at bedtime and when you're feeling a little poorly - snuggling up with it makes you feel so much better, don't you think?

Well, I took Charlie along to choose some yarn with which to create his new 'Best Blankie, and as you can see, he wanted a very bright and colourful item!

It's just a simple crocheted square, using each colour for as long as that ball of yarn lasted and with a simple scalloped edging.  He was so pleased when I presented him with the finished item recently and Grandma gained a few extra 'brownie points' for being so 'clever' (smile....)

Thanks for dropping by today, hope you've enjoyed your visit.  Til I see you next time - Happy Crafting!

That's a beautiful blanket. I'm sure little Charlie will love it.
