Happiness Comes in Many Forms.....

Today sees the release of more new stamps from Queen Kat Designs, my fellow DT members have all been creating fabulous projects using the new stamps ready to share with you on the Hop today.  You should have hopped here from Penny's Blog, but if you didn't I suggest you might like to go back to the QKD Blog where you'll find the full list of links for today's Hop.  It would be such a pity to miss any of the awesome creations from the DT using their new stamps.

I am mega excited this month as I am priviledged to have been given the new March WIS Kit to play with - how cool is that?  This kit is fabulous and it was soooo... easy to be inspired by these great new stamps.  If you haven't already ordered your WIS Kit for March yet, I suggest you hurry over to the QKD Store as soon as you can and place your order, these beauties sell out faster than you can imagine and you wouldn't want to miss out would you?
Inspiration came quickly to me as soon as I saw the new stamps in the Kit, I just had to get them inked up, and this card created, within hours of them arriving through my mailbox!

I decided to use some lovely springlike colours for my card.  The background papers are from an A4 pad by Papermania called 'Sunshine Paper Pack'.  I moved the elements of the sketch around just a little to better compliment the image and thought I'd make an easel card for a change.

I coloured the image with Copics and ProMarkers and added touches of Spica glitter pen on parts of the image.  I also stamped the butterfly from the Kit twice and coloured these to match the wings of the mermaid.  I kept one butterfly flat and bent the wings of the second one so that they stand up and give a 3d effect.  I cut the image out with a spellbinders nestabilities labels 8 die and layered this on to a pearly taupe coloured layer cut with a slightly larger die from the same set.  The ribbon was from my stash and I cut the flowers and swirls, with a Marianne Designs Ribbon Flowers Die set, from scraps of the background papers.  I added a smaller flower cut from the taupe card and finally added a flower shaped brad to hold all the flower layers together.

I stamped one of the sentiments from the Kit on to a scrap of white card and used Scattered Straw Distress Ink to colour it to tone with the papers.  I then attached this to the base of the easel, raised up on foam pads so that it forms the 'stop'.

I hope you are having lots of fun hopping along today, I'm now going to send you on to Steph's Blog to see the amazing creation she has for you today using her new stamps.  Don't forget that the rest of the DT will be displaying their creations using more of the new stamps on the Tuesday Blog Hop tomorrow.  Start at the QKD Blog again and check out their amazing projects tomorrow.

Thank you so much for joining in the Hop today, we appreciate your support.  I love to receive feedback, so do leave me a comment if you wish, it makes me smile reading them all :o)

Life is a tightrope walk!

Thanks for dropping by today, I love visitors!!!

Today I'm sharing with you a card I put together very quickly as my entry for this week's Let's Get Stamping challenge over on Craftbubble.  The sketch is nice and simple but with a couple of twists as it needs to include wavy lines and the image should be an animal.

Well, I think I hit this right on the nail with my sweet tightrope walking Hedgie - how cute is he?  I don't actually know if it's a he, but I think so anyway !!  He's a Penny Black image which a crafting pal sent to me as a gift.  I've been keeping him 'for best' but decided he was perfect for this challenge.

As usual, I used ProMarkers to colour in the image, then cut it out with a round nestabilities die.  I mounted this on to a pale green layer cut with a very slightly larger petite scallop circle nestie.  I am not sure who the sentiment is by, it was sitting in my box of bits and I thought the hand-written effect was perfect, it was cut out with a nestie die and two yellow brads added, one at each end.

I picked up a few lengths of sparkly ric-rack ribbon from the bargain bucket at my local Art Store last saturday, little did I know they would come in handy so quickly!!  The flowers and flower brad were in my stash and the background paper is yet another from the Papermania Spring 8x8 pads I am loving so much at the moment.

Thanks again for visiting today, I hope to share more projects with you over the coming days, thanks in advance if you feel like leaving me some feedback!

Forever Friends with Abby

The Queen Kat Designs DT have been lucky enough to be working this month with two of the new stamps released during February.  For today's card I decided to use the new Abby Mermaid, I do love this stamp, she is just so sweet and I wanted to give her a last spotlight before the end of the month as there will be more new stamps to be showcased in March!

My regular visitors will know that every Wednesday I have a spot on the Whimsical Ink Sorority Blog where I showcase one of my creations using either a newly released, or an older WIS stamp or monthly WIS Kit.  All of which are available in the QKD Store.  In addition to showcasing my work on the WIS Blog, I like to also post it on here to share with visitors to my blog.

To demonstrate just how versatile larger stamps can be, I used only part of the image, but stamped out two.  Using a Spellbinders nestabilities oval die, I cut out just the head and shoulders from the images and layered these up on to yellow ovals cut with a slightly larger nestie die.  The sentiment is from a QKD set which actually reads 'Friends Forever' but me being the rebel that I am, I swapped the words around!!  The sentiment was cut out using a petite scallop ovals nestie.

I coloured the images with Copics and ProMarkers and added a little Glossy Accents as highlights on the bubbles.  The background paper is from Papermania, I just love the way the design sweeps down from the top left, it just called out to have these two beauties hanging from the branch.  The turquoise lacy strip at the bottom of the card was cut with a Martha Stewart deep border punch.

If you didn't join in with Monday's QKD Blog Hop, it isn't too late, you can still check out all the amazing DT creations by starting here and following the links on each of the blogs.

Thanks for stopping by today, I appreciate your support and hope to welcome you back soon.

Love is the Thread.....

Welcome to this week's Queen Kat Designs Monday Blog Hop, I hope you're having loads of fun hopping along.  You should have arrived here from Penny's Blog but if you didn't, it would be a great idea to pop back to the QKD Blog and start from the beginning, so you don't miss any of today's fabulous creations from the DT.

The month of February saw the release of two fabulous new stamps in the Whimisical Ink Fantasty Stamps range, designed by Maigan Lynn and available in the QKD Store.  If you have joined in with the previous Hops this month, you will already have seen the delightful Fairy stamp called  'He Love Me, He Loves Me Not', which is the image I've chosen to use for today's project.

This week Queen Kat gave the DT the picture on the right to use as inspiration.  There are some luscious and zingy colours in this picture, some of my very favourites in fact!

I thought you might enjoy reading about my design process for today's card.  From this inspirational picture, my ideas started to form around a 'squares of colour' theme.  I also felt there was a lot of warmth and comfort to the room with it's bright colour scheme and the roaring fire in the hearth.  I love the small injections of yellow in the scene, they really lift the whole picture and the textures in the furnishings also sparked a creative idea.

So, with my mental 'design board' filled, I decided to create some 'inchies' using the colours in the picture.  I cut out 16 pieces of white card each one 30cm x 30cm in size.  I then coloured these in shades of the three colours I had chosen (green, blue and turquoise) with ProMarkers.  I then put these 'inchies' through various Cuttlebug embossing folders from the new Asian Bundle set.  Each of the pieces was then attached to the base card in a random design.

I stamped the image, cutting out only a portion of it using an oval nestabilities die.  I coloured the image using Copics and ProMarkers, with touches of Spica glitter pen on parts.  I then added Martha Stewart irridescent tiny heart glitter in yellow to her skirt - just for fun!!!!  The image was layered on to a piece of yellow card cut out with a scalloped oval nestie which is only very slightly larger than the oval containing the image.  I attached the image and the sentiment over the 'inchies'.  I created the sentiment on my computer as I knew exactly what wording I wanted to use and don't have anything like that on a stamp.  I cut the sentiment out with an oval nestie and layered it on to a yellow scalloped oval, cut with a very slightly larger nestie.  Finally, I added three blue paper flowers and leaf fronds punched with a Martha Stewart punch.

I'm now sending you on to Steph's blog to see the amazing creation she has to share with you today.  Don't forget there is another Hop tomorrow when the rest of the DT will be showcasing their creations for you -tomorrow's Hop starts at the QKD blog.  It's well worth checking the QKD Store regularly to see what great deals and discounts are running each month - you wouldn't want to miss out on a bargain would you!  Right now there's a fabulous special offer bundle of new release stamps for $25.

Thank you for taking part in the Hop today - feedback is great to receive, I know I love to read all the kind comments left for me.  I hope to see you back next Monday for the next Hop when I will be revealing a project using the brand new March WIS Kit stamps - bet you can't wait to see this new WIS Kit!  I can tell you it's a beauty!!!

Geisha Dreams

I haven't created many oriental themed cards for a while and I do so love anything oriental!

I recently bought the new Asian Bundle set of Cuttlebug embossing folders and these have prompted me to go oriental with a few projects.  I used two of the folders for this card, the cherry blossom embossed on gold mirri card for the background layer and the Geisha embossed on red card for the main image.  After embossing, I dragged a gold Brilliance ink pad across the layer and the raised areas collected more of the ink, highlighting the image.

The Let's Get Stamping challenge on Craftbubble.com this week gave us a sketch and a twist of not using a stamped image, on our card.  So this card fits that challenge perfectly.  The requirement to have some stamping on the card was met by the stamped sentiment which is from The Greetings Farm.

The flowers were punched from piece of japanese paper I have in my stash using a Martha Stewart punch, with a flower shaped bead added to the centre of each one.

I added a piece of black card under the red image layer, rounded all the corners and the card was done, without a single bit of colouring - most unusual for me these days!!!

Thank you for visiting today, I hope you'll stop by again on monday when the Queen Kat Designs Blog Hop is happening and my blog is one of those you'll visit along the way.

Stamping all over the flowers

For this week's sketchie challenge over on the Let's Get Stamping group on Craftbubble  we get a sketch to work with and the twist of not using a stamped image as the focal point of the card.  There must be some stamping on it though.

My crafting pal bought round her new set of Martha Stewart punches recently and I had a great time playing with them!  I love this 'all around the page' set of double loops, it is such a delicate, but not too pretty, lacy edge.  The two layers I punched in white and blue were perfect for creating this card.

I simply layered them on top of each other and added a strip of blue and white patterned card -punched on both sides to make a strip of lace with one of the MS border punches - across the middle of the card.

The flowers were punched with a large retro flower punch by E K Success, then the small flower stamp from a set of flower and butterfly stamps by papermania was stamped on to areas of the same paper - which were lighter in colour for contrast.  I then just layered them up and added small blue pearls in the centre of each.  The whole card created without any colouring !

This was a really quick and simple card to make using this lovely fresh colour scheme of blue and white, and one which would be appropriate for many different occasions.

I hope you've enjoyed viewing this card today, I appreciate your support and hope you'll be back again soon !

Anemone Mermaid

Today I'm sharing with you a card created using a stamp I haven't worked with before.  This Queen Kat Designs stamp is called 'Anemone Mermaid' and she is a real stunner!

Regular visitors to my blog will know that every wednesday I showcase one of my projects on the Whimsical Ink Sorority Blog for QKD.  This is the card I have posted on the WIS blog today, but I like to also share it with my own regular blog readers too.  The WIS blog is well worth a visit as there are some inspiring creations on there from members of the Design Team.

This week the DT are using the colour combo chocolate brown, aqua and red. What a truly decadent and scrumptious combo Queen Kat has given us to play with this week! I love rich and luscious colours to work with so today's creation was a dream.

Doesn't Anemone Mermaid have the most awesome 'big hair' - very 1980's (giggle). This stamp is fabulous to work with as there are large areas in which to colour and add lots of shading. I love the shell and flowers in her hair and that bikini top is soooo.... fabulous. She needs very little extra embellishing, as far as I'm concerned, and I think she looks amazing in her red outfit.

I coloured her with ProMarkers and Copics, with touches of Spica glitter pen on parts of the image. I punched layers of aqua, red and brown card with a Martha Stewart lacy heart border punch and layered them up under the main image.

The aqua layer was embossed in my Cuttlebug using one of my newly acquired CB Asian Bundle embossing folders, this one is called simply 'Koi' and has the fish swimming around and swirls of water - perfect to use with these wonderful mermaid stamps. I then rubbed a Gold Brilliance ink pad over the surface and the raised parts of the design collected more of the ink, thus highlighting them a little.

I then attached a length of red rick-rack ribbon across the centre of the card and added two swirls punched from red card using an EK Success punch. Finally I stamped out the word 'imagine' from a set of QKD sentiments - Et Voila! the finished card.

Don't forget that there is 35% off the price of all stamps in the QKD Store right now - what a great deal !  Now is a perfect time to get your hands on some of these amazing stamps while the price is discounted.

Thanks for stopping by today, I do hope you'll return again - and thanks in advance if you feel like leaving me a comment!

Hop,.... Hop..... Hop - that means it must be Monday!

Good morning to you and welcome to today's Monday Blog Hop by the Queen Kat Designs DT.  You should have hopped over here from Lara's blog, but just in case you came direct to me, might I suggest that you pop over to the QKD blog and start from the beginning.  This way, you won't miss a single one of the amazing creations the Design Team have to share with you today.

Well now, for today's Hop Queen Kat asked us to use one of the 'older' stamps rather than the newly released ones and gave us the sumptious colour combo of chocolate brown, aqua and red to work with.  These colours are so amazing used together, so rich and luscious - it makes my mouth water!!!!!

So here were go.....
For today's project, I've used the delightful 'Hookah Smoking Mermaid' which was released towards the end of 2009 and she is available in the QKD Store with a whopping 35% off the price right now - go on, what are you wating for?  you know you want to have her in your stash !!.

Now I know that smoking has become a very anti-social activity in recent times, but how could you be the least bit cross with this beauty!!  Here she sits in her wonderfully tranquil world with her fishy friends swimming by, so relaxed and without a care!  I felt this particular image was perfect for this week's colour scheme.

I coloured her with Copics and ProMarkers, adding Glossy Accents to the fish to give them some dimension and an 'underwater' feel.  I also added Spica glitter pen to the jewels on her head dress and top and also on the beads around her waist.  Of course, I just knew that she would be wearing red glittery eyeshadow too, she's just 'that kinda girl' !

The lovely fantasty theme brown and cream background paper was in my box of loose papers and I just felt it was made for this card.  I cut the image layer, aqua and brown layers with decorative scissors and put the brown layer through my Cuttlebug with one of my newly acquired CB Asian Bundle embossing folders.  This particular one is called Japanese Scales.  The lacy strip across the lower half of the card was cut using a Martha Stewart border punch, the red ribbon was from my stash and I used another of these lovely flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.  As a finishing touch, I added Card Candy in the three colours of today's theme, just to give the top right corner of the card a small point of interest.

I do so hope that you've enjoyed viewing my card today and that you are having a great time on the Hop.  I'm now sending you on to Steph's blog as I know she will have a fabulous project to share with you.  The rest of the DT will be showcasing their projects for you tomorrow on the Tuesday Hop, do join in, I know they would be honoured to have you along!

By the way, don't forget there's a 35% discount on stamps at the QKD store right now, it's too good an offer to miss if you ask me - but then I guess I'm biased!!!

I'll have another project to share with you next Monday, I do hope you'll join the Hop again then.  I really enjoy reading comments left on my blog, so if you have the time before you hop off to see Steph's creation, I'd love it if you left me one today.

Wa Loli

This week the 'Let's get stamping' challenge on Craftbubble gives us a sketch to work with and the added twist of 'wings'.

I decided to use this truly delightful image from Queen Kat Designs.  This stamp is called 'Wa Loli' and I love the Manga style of her and yet she is still so sweet and cute with the ringlets in her hair.

As the image 'said' oriental to me, I decided to use this lovely background paper from a pack by Dovecraft.  It isn't a specifically oriental set of papers, but the simple layout and blossom on this particular one suggest an oriental theme to me!

I coloured Wa Loli with Copics and ProMarkers, adding a little clear Spica glitter pen to her adorable little bag, which has a heart with wings and fits this challenge perfectly.  I also added Glossy Accents to the heart on the bag and to her eyes.  I cut out the image with a petite scallop oval nestabilities die and sponged around the edges with sky blue chalk ink while the die was still in place to give it a little white frame around edge.

The flowers were created using a Paper Shapers large retro flower punch, each petal was curled using the edge of the blade of my scissorts and then folded up to create dimension.  I then added one of these totally scrumptious blue blossoms from Wild Orchid Crafts in the centre of each flower.

To add more wings to the card, to comply with the challenge twist, I placed a little butterfly embellishment next to the sentiment which is from a set by The Greetings Farm.

Thanks so much for visiting, hope you enjoyed sharing my project today.

Purple Love

Today's card I have to share with you features the gorgeous 'He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not' stamp which is newly released by Queen Kat Designs.  It is another beautiful stamp designed by Maigan Lynn, who is also the designer of the lovely mermaid stamps from QKD that I often use on my creations.

For today's project I used just part of the stamp, cutting the image out with an oval nestabilities die. My plan was to create the look of a mirror, through which this delightful faerie is gazing out and dreamily peeling the petals from her flower. I am sure that most young girls have played this game, peeling the petals and asking that important question "does he love me, or does he not?" ! I know I did when I was young!

I decided to colour the image in shades of pink and purple using Copics and ProMarkers and added touches of Spica glitter pen in purple to the spots on her bodice, headband and wings and, of course, she is wearing sparkly purple eyeshadow!  These colours go so well with the frame and the shades of grey on the background paper, which is from my stash.

I created a frame from some lovely DCWV paper from their 'Pocketful of Posies' pad, using a plain oval and a petite scalloped oval nestabilities die. I punched out some small flowers from pretty pink patterned paper from my stash and added these to the frame, with a small gem at the centre of each one. The larger flowers were cut from the same pink paper, using a set of Spellbinders shapeabilities dies and I added Card Candy to the centre of each. The silver/grey background paper was also from my stash.

Finally, I created the sentiment on my computer, printing it out in purple ink on to a scrap of white card, then cut out with a petite scallop oval nestie and attached using silicone glue to give it a little lift.

I hoped you've enjoyed your visit here today and found some inspiration from my project.  I have also posted this card on the Whimsical Ink Sorority Blog today as Wednesday is my regular Designer slot on the blog each week.  Although you can see my today's card here, it is worth a visit to the WIS blog to see all the other amazing creations by the QKD DT on there.  A new project is posted on the WIS blog every day, hopefully to inspire you and to showcase these delightful QKD stamps.

By the way, there is a fabulous sale going on right now in the QKD Store - 35% off the price of stamps!  How good is that ?  This is a great time to add to your stash of QKD stamps or to make your first purchase while the prices are lower than usual.

I'll  have another new project to share with you next wednesday, both on here and on the WIS Blog and look forward to welcoming you back here again soon. Thanks for visiting today, it would be great if you left me some feedback too.

Just realised that this card is also perfect as an entry for this week's Sweet Stampin challenge which is 'Floral Frenzy' - I think there are enough flowers on this card to meet this criteria, don't you? LOL

Tuesday 9 February 2010

I love you beary much!

I created this card as my entry for this week's Just Cute Bears Challenge #3 which has the theme of 'Hearts'.

The image is a cute stamp from Cuddly Buddly and I coloured it with ProMarkers and a few touches of Spica glitter pen.  I then cut the image out with a petite scallop circle nestabilities die.

The background paper is from a pack by Dovecraft and I used another sheet from the pack to cut a strip to go across the bottom of the card and punched the edge with the Martha Stewart lacy heart border punch.  I then took another narrower strip of the paper and punched both edges with the same MS heart punch to create a strip of lace.

I added the image to a small paper lace doily and then attached this over the background paper and lacy strips.

Finally I punched some flowers in different sizes from scraps of the background papers, adding the small fabric heart to the largest one and small pearls to the smaller ones.

I didn't add a sentiment to the front as I felt it would make it look too 'busy'.

I hope you've enjoyed viewing my card today, thank you for visiting my blog.

He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not

Here were are, the second monday in February already, how the year is flying by!  As it is Monday, I'd like to welcome you to this week's Queen Kat Designs Monday Blog Hop. You should have hopped here from Penny's blog after viewing the fabulous creation she has to share with you today, but if you didn't, you should go to the QKD Blog to start at the beginning, so that you don't miss any of the DT's inspirational projects they have on their blogs for you today. The challenge this week is to work with the sketch on the right, and the newly released stamps. If you are a regular Hopper, you will know that every month new stamps are released and are available in the QKD Store. The DT create projects using the new stamps, which we share with you during the blog hops on monday and tuesday each week throughout the month.

For February, two new stamps in the Whimsical Ink range have been released.  Last week I brought you the lovely Abby Mermaid, today I'm showcasing the second of the new releases - 'He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not'  both designed by Maigan Lynn.

This is a really sweet stamp and released in perfect time for creating your Valentines cards.

I used another of the papers from the Papermania 'Spring Life' 8x8 pad of papers which I am loving at the moment.  The rich and luscious colours in these papers are just perfect to bring colour and vibrancy to this very dark and dismal time of the year.  Using these colours makes me think of spring and the promise of Summer sunshine.  I think these papers fit really well with both the sketch and this lovely image.  Recently I have been pushing myself out of my 'comfort zone' and trying different colour combinations, ones which I don't usually think of using.  My chosen colours for this card are blue, brown, yellow and green.  An unusual combo but I think it works!

This is a lovely image to colour and I used Copics and ProMarkers, adding small touches of Spica glitter pen.  I attached a length of wide dark blue organza ribbon across the bottom, for this element of the sketch.  The large yellow flower on the bottom left is from my stash and the smaller flowers were cut from a left over scrap of the background paper.  The sentiment, which I cut out using a petite scallop round nestabilities die, is from the January WIS kit and I inked only the word 'Love' from the sentiments included in the kit.  I love to find new and interesting ways to use the stamps I have, using only part of the stamp or layering and using them in different ways - it's such a fun thing to do!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog as you go along on the Hop, I'm now going to send you over to Steph's blog as she has a fabulous creation to share with you today.  Don't forget that there is the 35% sale going on at the QKD Store, a great time to get your hands on all these newly released stamps and all the 'old favourites' too!

Don't forget, we'll be back with another Hop next Monday and we'd love to have you join in the fun again, why not add the QKD Blog to your list of favourites so you won't risk missing the Hops in future weeks.

Abby with feathers

I have had great fun working with this newly released Abby Mermaid stamp from Queen Kat Designs.

For my card today, I coloured Abby with Copics and Promarkers adding tiny touches of yellow Spica glitter pen on the flowers and stars and a little clear on her hair and tail.

The background papers are from the Papermania 'Spring Life' 8x8 paper pad which I am really loving at the moment.  The edge of the brown paper was cut using a new Martha Stewart border punch which cuts out a nice line of pansies and is very pretty and different.  I punched out the flowers from some pale blue paper and added fronds cut from light green paper with my Martha Stewart punch.  The sentiment is from the QKD Whimsical Ink monthly kit for January and I inked only the word 'Love' from the stamp, cut it out and dragged a brown ink pad around the edges.

I cut the Abby image close to the edge of the stamped area and dragged the brown ink pad around this to match the sentiment.  I haven't used feathers on my cards for a very long time, but I felt I wanted to use something different on this one, so dug out my box of feathers and added three behind the image layer.

Thank you for visiting my blog today and allowing me to share my work with you - I appreciate your support.  It is great to get feedback and I'd love it if you left me a comment today.

This week's sketchie challenge on the Let's Get Stamping group on Craftbubble includes the 'twist' of using stationery items on your project in addition to following the sketch.

I used two C5 manilla envelopes for the base card, creating a pocket in the bottom left corner to hold the separate tag.  On the tag I created a pull loop on the top with a Treasury Tag.  I also added a small bulldog clip to the front helping to attach the flowers.  I think this qualifies my card as an entry with all these stationery items added!

I bought a lovely set of Hero Arts retro flower stamps at the Westpoint craft show in Exeter last weekend.  I couldn't wait to ink up the stamps and I thought this largest flower from the set was ideal for my card.  I stamped the image twice on to each of two sheets of patterned paper, then cut them out and layered the centre flower from one paper on to the flower cut from the other.  The leaf stamp was also part of the set.

On the tag, I added a further layered flower to the top right.  The main body of the tag was created by colouring with scattered straw Distress Ink, then masking the centre with a scalloped oval and adding Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink to give the darker border.  Finally, I stamped the floral 'friend'  sentiment stamp from my set by Inkadinkadoo (also bought at Westpoint) in the centre.  The second picture shows the tag outside the front pocket.

Thank you so much for dropping by today, I hope you've enjoyed viewing my card and that you'll be back again soon.

Hello Springtime

I have a sweet little card to share with you today.  The image called 'Mimo Roses' is a stamp by Bildmalarna.  My crafting pal Annie kindly allowed me to stamp up this image from her new stash of stamps when we got together for a crafting session recently.  Isn't he a real cutie?

I coloured him with ProMarkers and used Scattered Straw Distress ink to colour up the image layer around the edges.  I did the same with the sentiment, using a stamp from The Greetings Farm.  The background papers are from the Papermania Springtime 8x8 paper pad - I'm loving these papers!  Finally I added a brown silk flower with three paper roses in the centre.  I placed all the elements to make best use of the designs and swirls on the background paper.

I used this particular sentiment so that the card isn't obviously for a specific occasion, but would work for many.

I'll be posting on the Whimisical Ink Sorority blog for my regular Wednesday spot tomorrow, I hope you'll drop by to see what I've created to share with you.  I am showcasing the newly released 'Abby Mermaid' stamp which will be available in the Queen Kat Designs Store from tomorrow.

Thanks for dropping by today, I do appreciate your support.
