And now for something completely different!! After working with so many cute images lately, my mojo rebelled and I decided to try something completely different for a change. Whilst sorting out my stash in my new craftroom, I came across quite a lot of watercolour paper, so I decided to use up some of it. I stamped this lovely winter cottage scene from Elusive Images, using Faded Jeans Tim Holtz Distress Ink, on to watercolour paper. Before the ink dried, I used a water brush to spread a little of the ink and blur the sharp edges of the stamped image to create a watercolour effect. I then added some Diamond Stickles on certain parts of the image and before this dried I sprinkled on Glamour Dust to create even more twinkle. I am really loving these easel cards and it looks like lots of my Christmas cards this year will be in this style! The backing papers are from the Artilicious Season's Greetings DVD from Graphicus. On the inside I added a piece of white card, cut using a scalloped oval nestabilities die to give room for a handwritten message. On top of this I added a seasonal sentiment from my set by Hobby Art Stamps, which I layered up on foam pads to act as the 'stop' for the easel front of the card. The vertical sentiment on the front is also from the set by Hobby Art, layered on to a scrap of aqua card and foam pads. Finally, I added some punched snowflakes and set tiny aqua gems in the middle of each. I may make more of these as I am quite pleased with the final result.
Thank you for stopping by, leave me a comment if you wish I love reading them all.
